Michicoy was the first property purchased by Felipe and Marta Martinez. They would travel a whole day by bus and foot to arrive at their little property. The name Michicoy comes from the community in which it is located.
The soil in Michicoy is one of the richest in Guatemala and probably the healthiest. It is never too dry or too wet. It is extremely rich in nutrients and one could grow just about anything that would do well in this climate.
