Noralba acquired the farm El Guayabo as an inheritance. The farm is located in Huila region, in the village Purutal in Colombia.
Noralba is the manager of the farm in cooperation with her mother and her brother. Three years ago, they started growing the Pink Bourbon coffee variety, a variety that has taught her the wonders of coffee. Besides, El Guayabo farm is the main source of income for the whole family. Noralba knows very well that higher quality is achieved through ecosystem protection. In El Guayabo farm they select only the ripe cherries, then they remove the husk, and leave the beans to ferment for 30 hours. After fermentation, coffee is washed and then dried for approximately 15 days. Then it is ready for storage.
